When a child is growing , they first learns to roll over, then gradually crawls. After few months the child tries to stand on their own feet and eventually learns to walk after holding on to their parents fingers and see the world through their eyes but what if an innocent child does not have parents to guide him or her through the world?…. even if it is a girl child , imagine there is no one to guide her and raise her. How much trouble the girl child must be going through?
That’s where “Aasha Foundation” steps in-not just as an initiative but as a circle of support that believes in the strength of every girl child left behind or overlooked.
AASHA FOUNDATION:
“Aasha foundation is a non-profit organisation that works tirelessly for not only the education but also on overall well being of the girl child who have lost one or both parents to ensure they have access to learning, care, and opportunity.”
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FOUNDATION:
Aasha foundation was established on January 3rd, 2024. It is exactly the same date as the birth anniversary of India’s first female teacher, “Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule”.On such an auspicious occasion “the Aasha Foundation Charitable Trust “was established for the girl child education and empowerment of girls.
Aasha foundation is working relentlessly for the girl child education for girls from class 5 to class 10 who do not have parental support or have lost the either of their parents.
Driven by the belief that every girl deserves access to quality learning opportunities, the organisation addresses educational disparities and empower young girls through mentorships, scholarships, working on their physical and mental well being , skill deveplopment and making parent-child bond more stronger. At the heart of our foundation, lies an unwavering commitment to empowering girl child. Recognzing the multifaceted challenges girl face, we work through six distinct yet interconnect verticals- each designed to uplift, educate and equip her to lead a life of dignity ,opportunity and confidence.
The foundation has successfully helped 3000+ girls and 300+ schools of 50 educational institutes in many rural districts of Maharastra , making a significant impact in rural regions. Their unwavering commitment continues to inspire change, frostering a future where girls have equal opportunities to thrive and succed.
Ours is not just a foundation -it’s a movement built on compassion , resilience , and the quiet power of persisent action. whether its through our six verticals or the countless hands and hearts that fuel them, our mission is rooted with one unwavering belief: to empower every girl to reach her highest potential. By strengthening educational capacities, offering skill development and opening doors to transformative opportunities we strive to nurture not just individual dreams, but more ideal and compassionate society.
