Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust
A small child first learns to roll, then crawl, and after a few months tries to stand on its own feet. Once standing, the child learns to walk by holding the parents' fingers.
Parents are the ones who teach a newborn to take the first steps, holding their tiny hands and showing them the entire world.
But imagine what happens when a little girl or boy has no parents to guide them in life.
For a girl, her father is often her biggest support. Without that support, care and encouragement, she has to face many struggles alone.
Mr. Dattatray Jagtap lost both his parents at a very young age. He was raised by his grandmother and aunt in Satara district.
Through many challenges, he understood that if a girl becomes capable, she can take responsibility for her entire family.
This thought inspired him to ensure that no girl without parents feels helpless again.
To support such girls, he established the Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust on 3 January 2023 on the birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule.
Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust works for orphan girls and girls with a single parent, studying in classes 5 to 10.
Under the leadership of Mr. Dattatray Jagtap and Mrs. Rupali Jagtap as the First Servants, the foundation works for the mental, physical and social development of every girl.
The aim is to help every girl become confident, educated and self-reliant.
The foundation runs several activities in many schools. These include providing educational materials and a special photo frame titled "Mee Lek Savitrichi" (I am Savitribai's Daughter), which inspires girls with identity, pride and confidence.
The foundation began its journey in Lonand village in Satara district.
Starting from a few schools, by 2025 it has reached more than 50 educational institutions, covered more than 300 schools and supported over 3,000 girls.
The goal of Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust is to support at least 200,000 girls across Maharashtra by January 2030 so they can become strong, educated and confident.
With the blessings of God and the inspiration of Savitribai Phule, this dream will come true.

Mr. Dattatray Jagtap
First Servant
Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust Mr. Dattatray Jagtap was born in Lonand, Satara District. He valued education from childhood and completed his schooling in his village before moving to Pune for higher studies. After losing both parents at an early age, he was raised with care by his grandmother and aunt.
With great determination, he completed his MBA while overcoming many difficulties. He then gained experience in several jobs in Mumbai and went on to establish his own company, EnggMech Innovations Pvt. Ltd. He created a strong identity for himself in the manufacturing industry.
During this journey, he guided many young entrepreneurs. His inspiring life story was featured on Sahyadri Channel’s program "Zhep".
Inspired by the thought that we must give back to society, and with deep respect for the vision of Savitribai Phule, he established the Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust. Today, he serves as the First Servant of the foundation and works for the education and empowerment of girls.

Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust Mrs. Rupali Jagtap, wife of Mr. Dattatray Jagtap, has been a strong support throughout their journey. She has balanced family responsibilities with dedication and managed the home beautifully even during the challenging times of their business journey.
She is directly and indirectly involved in their business and plays an active role in the functioning of the Aashaa Foundation Charitable Trust.
She ensures that various foundation activities are executed smoothly and effectively. Along with managing her home responsibilities, she has also prioritised social work.
For every girl in the Aashaa Foundation, Mr. Jagtap is like a father and Mrs. Jagtap is like a mother. She takes care of every girl with commitment, love and responsibility.
